Built in 2001, these apartments are the result of the tasteful transformation of the former Dun an Oir Golf Hotel. They are set among a small cluster of holiday cottages overlooking a sandy beach on Ferriter's Cove, the Atlantic Ocean and the Blasket Islands on one side, and an 18-hole links golf course on the other, with Mount Brandon, Ireland's second highest mountain, in the background.

The two bedroom apartments consist of either one double bedroom and one twin bedroom or one double and a single bedroom. They are fully equipped and fresh linen is left in the apartment for your arrival.

The Dingle Peninsula faces into the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean in the South West corner of the island of Ireland, at the extreme western edge of Europe. Dun an Oir lies in the heart of the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht at the edge of the peninsula, a place where the Irish language is the spoken tongue, where traditions have been preserved for thousands of years. It is a place of quietness and friendly people.

Arasain Cheann Sibeal is situated two miles from the village of Ballyferriter, and seven miles from the town of Dingle.

The area has much to offer the visitor and longer term resident alike: fishing, hill walking, water sports and pony trekking for those seeking outdoor pursuits, as well as the Cheann Sibeal 18-hole links golf course. For those in search of something different, the area is rich in tradition, literature and culture, and offers an extraordinary concentration of archaeological sites. The landscape is rich in visual variety and interest.

The coast road along the westerly side of the peninsula has an unobstructed view of the western Atlantic Ocean. Off the coast lie the group of islands known as The Blaskets, one of which, the Great Blasket, was inhabited until the mid-1950's, when the last of the islanders left to settle on the mainland. A large interpretative centre has been built at Dunquin which provides information, displays and video shows about every aspect of life on the Blaskets. In this area also can be seen the remnants of the filming of Ryan's Daughter and Far and Away.
