This contemporary, open plan home is bright and comfortable and boasts breathtaking views from every angle. It is tastefully furnished and has all modern conveniences including a fully equipped fitted kitchen, wood burning stove for extra comfort and large floor to ceiling windows in the living room to make the most of the fantastic views!
On the ground-floor there is a large living room with comfy seating and the wood stove. There is also an open plan kitchen/diner with adjoining utility room with washer/dryer. There is a separate TV room with a sofa/day bed which sleeps two people; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and walk-in wardrobe; a twin bedroom and a separate bathroom with handheld shower head. On the first floor, overlooking Croagh Patrick, there is another double bedroom which has its own en-suite.
Outside is a patio area and fully secure garden area. Oil fired central heating and electricity are included in price and bed linen and towels are provided.
The property is located 7 miles from Louisburgh village and 22 miles from bustling Westport Town. Louisburgh, though small, is a charming place with several great pubs, some local shops, restaurants and cafes as well as a chemist shop, library and post office. It is set on the Bunowen river, part of which is a salmon fishery and near to the village is Roonagh Pier which is the departure point for ferries to Clare Island and Inisturk. Louisburgh is well located for climbing, walking and cycling and has a number of spectacular EU Blue Flag beaches dotted along its nearby coastline. The charming beach at Old Head is a safe bathing place for small children and has Croagh Patrick as a truly dramatic backdrop. The beautiful Cross Strand is just about 2.5 miles from the property and there are also Carrowniskey (great for surfing), White Strand and Silver Strand, all within a few minutes drive.
Westport (only about 25 minutes drive) is a busy market town and it retains many of its charming 19th Century features and historical buildings, the most spectacular of which is Westport House stately home. It’s a lovely place to browse around to seek out a bargain or just to stroll through to admire its planned streets and soak up the friendly atmosphere.
