These 4 star modern houses are situated in beautiful Lough Caragh (Caragh Lake), near Killorglin, on the Ring of Kerry. Each of the houses can accommodate up to 5 people in one double, one twin and one single bedroom. Pets are welcome at an extra charge of 50Euro payable onsite. The crystal waters of Lough Caragh (just minutes away) originate in the MacGillycuddy Reeds, and these houses ensure that you have the opportunity to take advantage of the Lake for fishing or watersports. Alternatively, take to the hills and enjoy some hill walking, which offers both bare hills or heavily wooded areas. The hills and rugged terrain around Caragh Lake is stimulating for both the body and the eye, as the scenery is simply breathtaking. Caragh Lake provides an abundance of healthy fish for game anglers, salmon and trout being the most predominant fish in the Lake. Caragh Lake and nearby blue flag Rossbeigh strand are very popular amongst game anglers, sea anglers, canoeists, windsurfers and swimmers. Dooks 18 hole links course which is located near Glenbeigh, provides a beautiful and tranquil environment to enjoy good golf. A local attraction which is well worth visiting is the Bog Village. Situated between Glenbeigh and Killorglin, it takes you back to the 18th century for a glimpse of life as it was in the heart of the boglands. And of course the Puck Fair in Killorglin in August and the summer races on Glenbeigh beach are highly entertaining if you happen to be in the area at the time. |
