Castle Gardens’ architects and interior designers have pooled cutting edge design, technology and glamour to achieve something very desirable indeed. The overriding impression of these homes is really rather WOW… in an understated kind of way!

These wonderful 3 bedroom semi detached lodges are set on the beautiful island of Waterford Castle, are stylishly fitted out and have a spacious open plan kitchen-dining area with adjoining living area. The kitchen boasts oak with glazed wall units, an island unit and glass splashback, Neff built-in stainless steel kitchen appliances, Smeg FAB refrigerator and doors out to the patio. The living area comprises of a wall mounted recessed living flame gas fire with honed finish granite panel overhead and a concealed 32” flatscreen television, bespoke seating and soft furnishings using Irish woven fabrics, leather and linens and beautiful oak furniture. The ground floor also boasts a utility room with washer/dryer and downstairs toilet.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms each with their own balcony and high gloss paint lacquered built in wardrobes. The first bedroom is a double. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower. The large master bedroom also has a bathroom with shower over bath. This bedroom also features quilted leather headboard with oak surround, floating ceiling, integrated lighting and wide plank oak flooring there is also a main shower room (no bath) on the first floor. All bathrooms feature Philippe Starck sanitary ware and Hans Grohe tapware, Ceramics Aparici floor and wall tiles and ambient lighting.

There is also a number of 4 bedroom units, the 4th bedroom (double) being on the ground floor and having a wheelchair adapted shower room. Should you be interested in this house type please contact us for availability.  There are 3 double rooms upstairs.

General: Under floor heating; 2.4m full height solid core oak doors with Briton contemporary stainless steel door furniture. There is wide plank oak flooring in the hall, first floor landing and master bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms are carpeted throughout. Each lodge has its own patio area with furniture; the gardens are open plan but have been landscaped to maximize your privacy. Each lodge has a golf buggy parking bay.

Pets are welcome with an extra cleaning charge of €35.00 per pet (reduced from €60).

THE FERRY OVER AND BACK TO THE HOTEL IS COMPLIMENTARY BY THE HOTEL AND GOES ON REQUEST.

Please note: Although guests have use of the resort facilities during their stay, on dates where there is a wedding, the hotel will be closed off to wedding guests only. Holiday Homes guests may still use the club house.

Our check in time is from 15h00 onwards and check out is 12h00.
Waterford Castle Hotel is a non-smoking hotel which includes all guest bedrooms.

The island is accessed by a car ferry, this is operated 24 hours a day & with just a short crossing time of 5 minutes.  Our Ferry sails from the mainland on the quarter hour from 7am- 10pm and on half hour from 10pm-7am.   The island driveway works on a one way system, so please pay particular attention to our road signage.

Full Irish Breakfast Menu

- 7 days a week - 7.30am - 10am @ € 18 per person

We also serve a full Fitzgerald Room Bar Menu & Afternoon Tea Menu and our Golf Clubhouse also has a full bar menu.

In Lodge Dining is also available, with delivery to your lodge, please book at least 48 hours prior to avail of this service.

We would advise making an advance for all dining options, particularly if you are visiting us on a weekend break.

On this Island, sits a wonderful parkland Golf Course of some 120 acres, it is advisable to pre-book, to do so call our pro shop direct on 051 871633 or email golf@waterfordcastle.com, residents discounted rates are available.

Other leisure activities include a Driving Range, Tennis and Scenic Walks.　 Clay Pigeon Shooting can be arranged on the Island and within a short drive you can also enjoy some Equestrian Activities. Should you wish to book any activities during you stay we would appreciate advance notice to ensure availability. 

During our Summer months, July & August, we  will have our Kids Activities available, operating Monday, Wednesday & Friday each week,  from 10am - 12noon, this service is with our compliments.  Each day has different activities such as nature walks (subject to weather), arts & crafts & story-telling.  We request that you would book your children in for this at least 24 hours prior to confirm a place.  Every child attending must be registered with the Kids club Supervisor & accompanied by an adult.   

Short stays are also available in our beautiful selfcatering homes at Waterford Castle.
