Coolbawn Quay is nestled quietly on the eastern shores of Lough Derg, just outside Nenagh in Co Tipperary and located between the picturesque villages of Puckane and Terryglass.

Situated on 15 acres of land , Coolbawn Quay is a unique private village resort purpose built just over 10 years ago and modeled along the lines of a 19th century Irish village. The Village comprises of village houses, Lakeshore Suites & Village Suites, Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant, Schoolhouse Conference Room, Village Marquee, Private Marina & Lakeshore Spa. We can accommodate 96 guests throughout our 48 guestrooms.

The guest accommodation is scattered throughout the village looking out onto the meandering lanes and avenues.

THE SPA - Aqua Spa and Beauty

Coolbawn Quay Lakeshore Spa is a true rural retreat offering exquisite treatments by our team of highly trained therapists specializing in products from Spa Find, organic skincare range from Dr Hauschka and world renowned Guinot in relaxed, peaceful and picturesque lakeview surroundings.

The Spa is situated directly facing Lough Derg and is bordered by forest and rolling green fields, boasting a natural spring water counter current pool, eucalyptus steam room and sauna all encompassing the Aqua Suite. The Aqua Suite is available privately on an hourly basis but must be pre booked when making your reservation.

The Relaxation Room sits quietly to the front of the Spa with its very own outdoor deck area and lots of natural daylight seeping through the old style sash windows. Curl up under a cozy blanket, pick up your favourite magazine or simply sit and watch the ducks frolic on the water outside. Weather permitting take a stroll through the village or sip your juice on our private deck while you relax and take in the beautiful views of Lough Derg and wait for your next brush with heaven.

Our treatment rooms within the Spa and also our Beauty Rooms located in the centre of the village are decorated with light, fresh tones and benefit from natural daylight whilst bringing the outside in using fresh flowers from the gardens daily and fresh lavender (when in season) in each treatment room.

Adults only are permitted into the Spa and swimming pool.  Unfortunately children under the age of 18 will not be allowed to enter the Spa or Swimming Pool.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Our cottages consist of spacious living room and kitchen designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, spacious ensuite bedrooms dressed with soft cotton sheets and finished with a cozy woolen/Avoca blanket to add colour to your stay. Each living room comes with a turf burning stove which is set on your arrival and comfortable couches to aid your relaxed mood, a private decking area is located just off the living area through French doors. Each house is equipped with TV, VCR, CD player & Tea/Coffee making facilities. The Cottages are also available on a self catering basis.

Our Lakeshore Suites consist of spacious bedroom area and ensuite with lake views through the old style sash windows, from the bedroom you enter the drawing room area with old style furniture and turf burning stove together with deck area that you can relax in private in your own thoughts.

Breakfast or evening meal can be served to your house, pre booking is advised.

Coolbawn Quay is unique in style and service and attention is paid to the smallest detail. You will find fresh flowers in your room from the gardens, gentle music playing on arrival and in the winter your stove will be lighting to welcome you.
