OFFICIAL BOOKING AGENTS

Nestled between the two Donegal villages of Creeslough and Carrigart is the hidden gem of Donegal Boardwalk Resort. In all there are 27 premium villas spread amongst 3 small cul de sacs. Each horseshoe-shaped cluster contains a mix of 9 detached and semi-detached stone clad villas. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the tarmacked surfaces are just perfect for children to ride their bikes or kick a ball. A drive leads from the Resort’s entrance off the road between Carrigart and Creeslough, past the three clusters of Villas and the first children’s playground directly down to the public carpark in front of the Donegal Boardwalk Bar & Restaurant, the all weather five-a-side, tennis, basketball court, the second children’s playground and of course, the gateway to the Boardwalk itself. A 25 minute easy stroll will bring you directly to the sandy beach and the Boardwalk’s surfaces are smooth and ideal for pushing prams and buggies or riding bikes. From the Villas to the beach is approximately a 5km round trip and a very enjoyable walk. There are two Villa types within the Resort.

The detached Villas are slightly larger and have 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people. They have an open plan kitchen and living room with a separate dining room area in the adjoining sun room. Two of the bedrooms are located downstairs – one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, along with the main family bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs is the third and master bedroom with ensuite with shower and there is large gallery area which looks down over the living space below.

The semi-detached Villas also sleep up to 6 people in three bedrooms but these houses have two double bedrooms and a third bedroom with bunk beds (ideal for families with children). All bedrooms are located upstairs. There is a family bathroom with a shower over bath and the master double bedroom has an ensuite with shower. There is also a guest toilet downstairs. The downstairs living areas in the semi-detached villas are roomier than in the detached.

The sitting rooms in all the Villas feature cosy wood burning stoves, SMART TV’s and comfortable couches. We also offer free WIFI to all guests!

There is a partially fenced decked area at each of the Villas with patio furniture and all around the Villas is surrounded by grassy areas.

This is a Resort that has been well thought out and planned with your needs in mind. In fact you need never leave the Resort during your stay if you come with your groceries at the start!

Perfection for Paddy's Day

"This was a great location for a quiet break with the family over the St Patricks day weekend. Very close to all beaches, restaurants and nightlife of Downings and Carrigart. George was on hand with anything that was needed and the house was prepared to perfection. Thanks again."

Loved our late afternoon walks

"The resort is very impressive, the clusters of well finished houses have a private and homely feeling. The communal play park was great for the children and the tarred pathways and boardwalk was great for late afternoon walks. The house was spotless. The lady who greeted us was great and made us felt at home. We travelled to the Downings for food and drinks both days and I'd be happy to recommend this resort."

Just perfect

"I liked absolutely everything about the property. it was clean, modern and had every possible amenity that you could possibly require, even a heat log in the fire (ready to light) - a real home from home. The resort is set in beautiful surroundings and is tranquil and idyllic. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Boardwalk Resort to anyone, particularly those with young children, as I feel it would be very safe for them and they would love the play area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking a return visit."
