Here is a view over Sheephaven Bay worthy of a long, lingering meal, where the changing light washes over the Atlantic waters and mountains creating and recreating exciting visual patterns of great beauty. This is a place to relax, reflect, restore your spirits and enjoy the charm and courtesy of a people renowned for their warm and gracious hospitality.

Each 3-bedroom cottage is designed to help you achieve these objectives. A spacious lounge greets you inside the front door, off which is a beautifully fitted modern kitchen designed to make light work of food preparation. The fully-tiled shower/toilet serves the double and twin bedroom, while the double master bedroom has a shower/toilet en suite.

Cosy all year...
With an electric heater in the lounge for those slightly chilly evenings and full oil-fired central heating for unseasonable or winter season cold snaps, the cottages are snug and cosy year-round. Heating & Electricity is an additional charge payable on departure.

Downings

Downings is a picturesque fishing port, famous for the production of traditional Donegal tweed.  The cottages are located in the heart of the Rosapenna Golf Resort.  The team at Downings Coastguard Cottages can arrange tee times and preferential green fees at the Rosapenna Golf Links.  Aside from golf, an excellent equestrian centre and a modern leisure centre are nearby.

The peninsulas in this lovely corner of Donegal offer spectacular drives and walks, including the exciting Atlantic Drive which starts in Downings. Medieval Doe Castle, Ards Forest Park and Glenveagh National Park and Castle are only minutes away by car.
