KILCROHANE

Fan Mor Cois Farraige is an exclusive development of 12 houses in the charming coastal village of Kilcrohane on the Sheep's Head Peninsula in scenic West Cork. Kilcrohane Village with its local shop/post office, pubs & restaurants is a one minute stroll away. The crystal clear waters of Dunmanus Bay are just a 5 minute stroll as are the children's playground & tennis court.

The renowned Sheep's Head Way walking & cycling routes are within a stone's throw of these holiday homes & attract thousands of visitors to the area each year. The Local pier is a very popular swimming place & there are several small coves dotted along the coast that are suitable for swimming. There are also many places to "cast the line out" in the hope of hooking a mackeral or pollock..

The holiay homes are both bright and airy and are fitted out to a 4* standard. We rent out House no's 8,9,10 & 11. The accommodation consists of:

• 1 x double bedroom ensuite
• 1 x twin room
• 1 x single room
• 1 x main bathroom
• Back garden with patio area & picnic bench style seating.
• The houses are heated by gold sheild electric heating. Heating & Esb is an additional charge, payable onsite when you're leaving.

There is one four bedded house, that is wheelchair adapted, it has a downstairs single bedroom with a wheel in shower. This house has an additional charge of 20.00E on the rates quoted below for the three bedroomed houses.

Directions
When approaching Bantry from the Cork city side, turn left signposted for Durrus. Travel into Durrus village and keep right signposted Kilcrohane. Keep travelling along this road until you come into Kilcrohane Village. Turn right at the Church and Fan Mor Cois Farriage is on the right hand side.

Pets are accepted on request at an additional charge of 20.00E payable onsite.

ACTIVITIES

Garnish Island

Garnish Island, otherwise known as Ilnacullin, is located in the sheltered harbour Glengarriff.  It is a small island of 15 hectares (37 acres) known to horticulturists and lovers of trees and shrubs all around the world as an island garden of rare beauty.

West Cork Sailing Centre

Located in Adrigole this is a wonderful resource in the area.   West Cork Sailing. 

Fishing

West Cork is an angler’s paradise. Deep Sea fishing, shore fishing, game fishing and coarse fishing are all available. 

Walking

For walkers, Kilcrohane  is the perfect base to take on the challenges of the Sheeps Head Peninsula

Touring

Local scenic drives will take you to Sheep’s Head, Adrigole, the Healy Pass, Lauragh, Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara, Gougane Barra, Eyeries, Allihies, Dursey Island (accessible only by cable car!) and the fishing port of Castletownbere.

Kenmare

The very popular town of Kenmare lies just a leisurly drive over spectacular scenery.  Here you will find an incredible selection of shops, bars and restaurants along with many places of historical interest.

Golf

Nearby Glengarriff boasts its own truly beautiful nine hole golf course with incredible views and the Championship Bantry Bay Golf Course is just a short drive..  This challenging cliff-top parkland course is noted as one of the most spectacular and scenic courses in Ireland.
