Set in a small development of holiday homes in a secluded area above Mulranny village, this house offers wonderful views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick from the living room.

With 1 double (en suite) and  1 twin room on the ground floor and 1 single room on the first floor  the accommodation is suitable for family and friends. There is also a bathroom upstairs and WC downstairs. Kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons and along with the dining/sitting area is on the first floor.

The shared garden slopes to a gateway which gives access to the adjacent  4* Mulranny Park Hotel with award winning cuisine. Its swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym are open to non-residents.  The hotel runs a childrens' activity club during school holidays and Summer season which again is open to non residents but advance booking is recommended.

Walking the quiet back roads from Mulranny are many delightful sandy coves to be discovered and spot the local castle.  Mulranny is ideal for walking as there are several marked loop trails which start from Mulranny pier and also from Tiernaur (3miles opp. Nevins pub) and vary from 5 km  7km up to 25km. They include Mulranny loop, Letterkeen loop, Burrishoole trail and Lettermaghera loop and the Greenway track with access directly behind the house.

The fine Nephin mountains behind reward the more serious walker with marvellous views of Bellacragher Bay. A guide can be booked if required.

Of course Croagh Patrick (www. croagh-patrick.com) beckons offering its own superb vistas of Clew Bay. Please do not underestimate this climb.

The dramatic coastline of the 'Atlantic drive' seascape which starts from Mulranny is inspiring.

The beautiful beach and rock pools will keep children very busy.

Charter a boat and go seal watching or if you are lucky spot the dolphins.

Just a 5 minute walk to shops, pub, a wonderful expansive sandy beach, Park Hotel, Great Western Greenway off road cycle/walk trail make this property highly attractive for its convenience to all these amenities.

Behind the property is the exciting newly developed 'Greenway Trail' - a 42km traffic free trail that offers wonderful coastal , lake and mountain scenes. It is very safe for children to walk or cycle and allows visitors to soak up the scenery at their own pace. Bicycles, Kids' tandems and buggy trailers can be hired. Recommend booking in advance.

The Old Schoolhouse Museum which  reflects schooling style in the 1920's.

Ballintubber Abbey dates back to 13th Century ( the times of the high kings of the O Connor family )and
the Celtic Furrow visitor center close by to the Abbey.

Ballycroy National Park Visitor centre is very child freindly and interactive- it is possible to touch the beautiful stuffed owl and there are little steps for children to bring them within easy reach of the exhibition pieces.
