This is a super bungalow within a gated development set minutes from St. Helen’s Bay Golf Resort and a long safe sandy beach.  The house features a large sunroom with wonderful light for painting and sketching or for simply relaxing with a good book.  French doors from the sunroom lead to the sheltered South facing patio with garden furniture.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Master bedroom en suite.

The living room has a TV (including UK TV channels) and DVD along with a welcoming open fire.

Cot and high chair are available on request.  Names of baby sitters can be provided.

Pets;
One small well behaved dog  will be allowed but must be kept on a lead as per rules of the developement.  A charge of €25 would apply. 

FAMILIES

This is an ideal family location and children will be kept busy in the playground (2mins walk), tennis courts and football pitch when not on the beach making castles in the sand and discovering the creatures of the rock pools.

GOLF

Helen’s Bay golf course is very popular with the Philip Walton 18 hole links/parkland par 72 course. It's last few holes offer panoramic views of Helen’s Bay would and envigorate any tiring golfer and hasten you on to the club house which shares a similar vista. The club house has a bar and restaurant and newspaper shop.  All of the above facilities are on site.

There is also plenty of help to improve the golf with a driving range and professional tuition available.

There are 3 other challenging golf courses within half hour drive – Rosslare golf course, Wexford golf course and Enniscorthy golf course.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

A climbing wall and assault course is under construction and will be operational from Easter 2012 as well as Archery – 10 min walk from the house.  The resort runs 1-4 day activity camps for children in the high season.  There are extensive green areas for children to unleash their energy.

Long beach walks stretching several miles to Carne are recommended to fill the lungs with pure sea air and revitalise the senses again.

History and Culture

National heritage Park where 9000 years of Irish history is retold as you stroll through an outdoor museum which recreates a Neolithic farmstead, ring fort, crannog and monastery.

Enniscorthy Castle has been refurbished recently and the rooms of Mr Roche ( who lived here early 20^th century) have been recreated. There is a wonderful view of Vinegar Hill from the castle roof.

1798 Visitor center Enniscorthy informs the visitor of the significance of the 1798 Rebellion and its role in leading to democracy today. It is presented through an audio visual screening and interactive exhibits.

The Wexford Garden Trail

– there is a diverse number of beautiful gardens open to the public from May to September which offer tranquil walks in woodland gardens, Japanese garden, Egyptian garden , mirror garden. Many are sensitively created using water features, stone lanterns and follies and have tearooms to relax after a peaceful walk.
