Doire Farm Cottages are the ideal location to enjoy all the modern conveniences of home in a beautifully restored 18th century Farm Cottage setting. These tree traditional style self-catering cottages have been tastefully finished & decorated by local craftsmen with a rough interior & exterior finish. A warm welcome is assured from your hosts Anne & Patrick Randles. Pa's CottagePa's Cottage is one of two semi-detached cottages that look out into the courtyard. This was part of the original 18th Century dwelling house. Downstairs is largely open plan & features a fitted kitchen/diner & spacious sitting room with open fire & sumptous leather furniture. There is 1 x bedroom downstairs & 2 x bedrooms upstairs, all of which are ensuite. Bathrooms feature jacuzzi bath & deluxe power showers. There is a private garden/patio area with seating Electricity is meter read & oil is €20 payable onsite per week Tom's CottageTom's Cottage is also one of two semi-detached cottages that look out into the courtyard. Originally, this was a stable, restored with its original stone. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with feature stone wall & fully fitted kitchen/diner. Upstairs has a spacious double bedroom & a small single bedroom. There is a large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, power shower & stylish mosaic tiling. The cottage has a private garden/patio area with seating which enjoys views of the surrounding farm land & mountains. Electricity is meter read & oil is €20 payable onsite per week Strollers for RentIf you can't fit your stroller (buggy) into your car you can rent one at Precious Moments, call Pauline on 064 42578 LOCAL ACTIVITIESKenmare lies approximately 30 minutes drive from a host of sandy beaches and it has a very pretty harbour from where you can swim, fish or take a trip on the "Seafari Cruise" to view the wildlife in the area. Star Sailing & Adventure CentreThis new purpose-built Activity Centre and Bar/Restaurant is fast becoming an essential part of a family holiday in Kenmare. The centre itself is situated on the shores of Kenmare Bay and surrounded by the Caha Mountains just a five minute drive from Kenmare Town Centre. The activities on offer include kayaking, sailing, canoeing, sea kayaking, hillwalking, team games and a Wildlife Safari Cruise on Kenmare Bay. Newly introduced for 2007 are the children’s playground, American pedal boats, water trampoline and slide, archery range, soccer pitch with changing facilities and the family walking trail.
