This new development of self catering houses, consisting of living room, dining and kitchen area, bathroom and three bedrooms - one double en-suite and two twins - are furnished to a very high standard.

Electricity is an extra charge and is charged at €6 per day June/July/August and E11 per day for other times of the year.

All houses have modern central heating facilities along with open fires or gas effect open fires.

Included as standard are the following: Washing machine/dryer, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, TV, patio with table and chairs.  Bed linen and towels are also supplied.

DROMOD:

Dromod is a beautiful Irish village situated in County Leitrim. The village has held the county title in the national 'Tidy Towns Competition' since 1973 and is an ideal base for a family holiday. Within a few minutes walk from the holiday village, you have the options of two public houses both offering an excellent restaurant service. There is also a fully licenced restaurant within the village along with a general store.

Dromod is also the home of the Cavan & Leitrim Railway Co. a fully restored operational steam railway offering rides on a vintage train and a guided tour of the workshops and engine shed.

With the larger towns of Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford town within a 15 minute car journey, you really have the best of both worlds in Dromod. County Leitrim boasts beautiful countryside, with mountains, lakes, rivers, pastures and extensive boglands. The stunning Glencar Waterfall, inspiration for W. B. Yeats, is particularly impressive.

Leitrim

The county extends for over 50 miles from the County Longford border to Donegal Bay, with a coastline of two and one half miles. Leitrim offers some of the best hill walking in Ireland, with over 30 walks in North Leitrim alone, as well as excellent cycling with marked trails. With one of the lowest population densities in Ireland, you can find plenty of unspoilt, rural scenery, where farmers carry on in the traditions of past centuries. There are also numerous sites of archaelogical interest, from ring forts to restored manor houses (like Parkes Castle on Lough Gill). Not for nothing is the county known as 'lovely Leitrim'
