Banna Beach Resort is a hidden gem just outside of Tralee in County Kerry. It is a true beach holiday destination. This self contained holiday village boasts four star holiday homes, an indoor swimming pool, kiddies pool, brilliant outdoor children's playground along with an indoor soft play area for kids, a gym, astro turf pitch and basketball court. Banna Beach Resort also has its own pub and restaurant along with a supermarket and takeaway restaurant onsite! Add to this the fact that an amazing long golden sandy beach is just a 15-20 minute stroll or 2 minute drive away, and you have one of the best seaside beach family resorts in Ireland! The accommodation comprises of 4* detached bungalows sleeping up to 6 people comfortably in 1 x double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and 2 twin bedrooms. There is a main bathroom with shower and a bright spacious lounge with colour TV. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with cooker, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge & dishwasher. Guests of the holiday homes at Banna have FREE USE of the swimming pool onsite. PLEASE NOTE: The cottages are heated by electric central heating & the charge for this is €6 per night from June to September and €10 per night from October to May. All bed linen is supplied. Towels for 6 persons are €20 per change onsite. Cots and highchairs are available on request when booking with Dream Ireland. Cots may be rented for €25 and highchairs for €15 per week. Extra beds are also available on request for an additional €40 per week. Please enquire when booking.
Towels are not provided. They can be rented at €20 per change for towels for 6 people plus €50 refundable deposit. There is plenty of private free car parking. The Bar, shop and Diner at Banna Beach will open on the June Bank Holiday this year (2013) and will remain open until the end of August 2013.These facilities are also open for Bank Holiday Weekends throughout the year.
The entertainment runs seasonally (from June Bank Holiday to end of August)
Food will be served in O'Shea's Bar from 16th June to the end of August
The pool, gym, indoor and outdoor play area and the all weather astro turf pitch is open all year with the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day.
The weekly kids club runs during kids summer holidays (this year between 29th June and 31st August). Prices are as follows:

Or if you would prefer to have a quiet drink, why not drop in to the B Bar, an old style Victorian lounge bar open every evening till late (for adults only). Please note that the entertainment programme is subject to change at short notice. The above events apply to July/August only. A more limited programme operates outside of these months. OFF SEASON (FROM SEPT)From September the bar will only open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings. The shop & take away will be closed except for Bank Holiday Weekends & special events. The activity area is free to access and has a light water sports lake, ‘learn to fish’ lake, walks and cycleway. The nature zone focuses on the adjoining internationally famous Tralee Bay Nature Reserve and features such novel elements as a safari boat ride, pond dipping, static and interactive displays, guided tours and a 20 metre high viewing tower which offers spectacular views of Tralee Bay (charge applies). The eco-friendly Visitor Centre, which overlooks the boating lake, has a full service Café in spectacular surroundings. It is definitely worth a vist.
