Just one hour’s drive from Dublin, this delightful holiday village is only 14 miles from the town of Mullingar and just 5 minutes drive to the lovely Lough Lene and Lough Dee.  There is a lovely swimming area at Lough Lene cornered off, also parking changing area and public toilets.

The closest supermarket, hotel or takeaways would be at a town called Castlepollard only 5 minutes drive.

This property also provides a taxi service at night if you wish to go for drinks elsewhere.

The picturesque setting and rural tranquillity of Loughstown, makes this an ideal holiday destination for all the family. Whether it’s angling, walking, pitch n’ putt, golfing or pony-trekking, Loughstown has something for everyone. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the outstanding 18-hole golf course at Delvin Castle or the championship course at Mullingar.

Loughstown is an angler’s paradise for course and game fishing with over twenty six waterways to choose from. An experienced Angling guide can be hired to bring you course or game fishing. The course fishing package is available year-round and is the perfect opportunity to catch Pike, Roach or Tench. Alternatively during the months of March and October our Ghillie could bring you Game Fishing for Salmon or Trout.

Take in the sights of the Seven wonders of Fore, Tullynally Castle, Knockyon, Ben of Fore, Randoon and Lough Crew or simply enjoy the excellent choice of shops and restaurants in nearby Castlepollard and Mullingar.

ACCOMMODATION

Loiughstown Holiday Village comprises of 23 bungalows and two 2-storey holiday cottages carefully laid out on a magnificent 10 acre site.

The 3-bedroom houses have open plan kitchen, dining and living areas. The bedroom layout is 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single room.

The layout of the 4 bedroom houses is as follows (sleeps 7).

Bedroom 1 - twin beds with en suite bathroom c/w electric shower
Bedroom 2 - twin beds
Bedroom 3 - single bed with additional hotel bed underneath.
Bedroom 4 - king size bed with en suite c/w electric shower
Main bathroom adjacent to bedrooms 2 and 3
 
There is one 4 bedroom wheelchair accessible house which has the same layout as the standard 4 bedroom as above with the exception of the main bathroom which has been fitted with a purpose built shower with low level doors/ privacy curtain and seat.  The bathroom has also been fitted with fold down arms for toilet.  As the en suite has been incorporated into the main bathroom there is access to same from the main hall and main bedroom.

Course and Game Fishing packages available - package includes boat hire, experienced Ghillie, insurance and fishing licence.

Game Fishing: €250 for 2 persons for one day
