Located right in the heart of the village of Lisdoonvarna in Co. Clare, Lios Duin Bhearna is an exclusive new development of 9 two and three bedroomed townhouses set out in a courtyard style with private parking.  All the townhouses have a small patio area with garden furniture and open out onto a fully enclosed cobble court yard area, to the rear of the houses.

The 2 bedroom houses comprise: 2 x double bedrooms,

& The 3 bedroom houses comprise: 2 x double bedrooms & 1 x single bedroom

Electricity for heating and lighting is an extra charge and is payable before departure.  Electricity is based on the individual meter readings.

A security deposit of €100.00 must be given to the Supervisor on arrival.  This will be returned to you provided that the terms and conditions of the rental have been complied with. 

There are no ensuite bathrooms in the houses - There is one main shared bathroom with bath and electric shower located upstairs.

The village is also a great base for touring the coast and beaches along the Atlantic Ocean as it is within an easy drive of the villages of Doolin, Lahinch, Liscannor, Ballyvaughan and Fanore and just a ten minute drive from the bustling town of Ennistymon.

Dolphin Watching

The mouth of the River Shannon is home to Ireland’s only resident community of bottlenose dolphins numbering approximately 100 members.  The estuary provides the dolphins wth a rich source of food and a safe habitat for mothers and calves and is one of only six such breeding communities in Europe.  The local dolphin watch tours boast a sighting rate of 98% during the months of May to August and operate from the towns of Kilrush and Carrigaholt. 

Golf

County Clare is well known for its wonderful golf courses including Lahinch, Doonbeg, Ennis, Woodstock, Kilkee and Kilrush to name just a few. 

Walking

The Burren Way Walking Route is a 26 mile (42 km) signposted walking trail from the town of Liscannor, along by the Cliffs of Moher, on to Doolin and into Ballyvaughan.   

Caving

The Doolin Cave System was first discovered in 1953 and is over 10.5 km in length incorporating many active underground rivers flowing through the limestone.  Guided trips can be arranged locally. 

Diving

This has become a very popular activity in County Clare and the area boasts some of the best diving on the West Coast of Ireland including a network of sub-marine caves off Doolin Point and wonderful dive spots in Kilkee. 

Horse Riding

The Buren is an ideal region to discover on horseback and there are many options available including beach trails. 

Painting

Burren Painting Centre. People can join in for a day of Landscape Painting 55€ for May/ June, 60€ for July/Aug.Located beside the holiday homes.

VISITOR ATTRACTIONS

The Cliffs of Moher

County Clare is famous world wide for being the home of the spectacular Cliffs of Moher.  Defiantly standing as giant natural protection against the might of the great Atlantic Ocean the Cliffs rise to over 215 m (700ft) and stretch for over 8km. 

Lahinch Seaworld and Leisure Centre

Seaworld offers a variety of facilities in two main sections namely the swimming complx and the Atlantic Aquarium.  The swimming complex features a 25m deck level pool, kiddies pool, jacuzzi and sauna and the Aquarium features a fascinating array of marine specimens including a lobster breeding station and a blow-hole wave explosion. 

The Burren

The northwestern corner of County Clare features The Burren - a rock garden of no ordinary proportions.  The Burren extends over more than 100 square miles and most of it is bare, pale, grey limestone however it is interspersed with magnificent floral pockets and crevices with spectacular coastal borders.  This truly is a unique place to visit while staying in Clare.

Aillwee Cave

Aillwee Cave is one of the west of Ireland’s top tourist attractions with its stalactites, stalagmites, relics of bears and Waterfall.  Open daily from mid March – October. 

Aran Islands

The Aran Islands are one of the last outposts of Gaelic civilisation.  They are stunningly beautiful and feature ancient relics of prehistoric civilisations.  Daily boat trips operate from Doolin - which boasts the shortest ferry crossing - to all three of the Aran Islands.
