Chestnut Cottage is ½ mile from Inistioge, the picturesque setting for many films including ’Circle of Friends’ and is famous for the beautiful Woodstock Gardens. Riverside walks can be enjoyed along the Nore River. This 100 year old cottage with its original steep stairs has been renovated to make a cosy holiday retreat and is delightfully furnished. This scenic area offers much for walkers, cyclists and fishermen including the Barrow Way. The beach at Duncannon is 25 miles and Kilkenny (15 miles) boasts a medieval castle and train service to Dublin. Shop, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

There are eight steps up to the main entrance to the house.  The ground floor consists of a living room with tiled floor, a Kitchen/dining room and a shower room with toilet & basin.

The bedrooms are located upstairs.  There is one double bedroom with an additional single bed along with a double bedroom with ensuite toilet.

The house is heated using oil fired central heating and there is a cosy woodburner in living room (initial fuel is included on arrival). Please note that oil is charged at €1 euro per hour and electricity at €2 euro coin operated meter.

The owner of Chestnut cottage welcomes family bookings and can provide cot, high chair and stair-gate for your comfort and safety.
