History of Enniscrone

There are many archaeological and historical sites located in the area.

W.B. Yeats

Sligo inspired much of the poet's most famous work. The Yeats Tour traverses many o the scenes that have been imortalised by the Nobel Prize winning writer.

Carrowmore

The area boasts the greatest concentration of megalithic monuments in Europe - on such site, Carrowmore, is reputedly one of the oldest and largest Stone Age burial site in Western Europe.
