September stay

"First impressions of this house are good and it is large and spacious with a fresh feeling. The beds are comfortable and the linens clean and well presented. The seating in the sitting room is comfortable and it is a pleasant enough place to sit. There were two main criticisms of the house. The first was some unsightly stains on the seat and lid of the toilet in the master bedroom en suite. I had bathroom wipes to hand, but nothing would remove the marks, so I would suggest a replacement for the comfort of future guests. The second criticism is of the standard of equipment in the kitchen, what looked like a set of pots had a small and a large - the middle one appeared to be missing. The remaining pots were of ultra- large sizes and in years of pro earring Christmas dinners for over twenty people, I have never needed pots of this capacity. There was a lack of serving dishes and the one casserole held more than 6 pints and had no lid. The utensils were quite sad to behold , for example a potato masher with a missing handle, two identical fish slices which looked ready for the bin. The crockery was plentiful and adequate. Compared to the rest of the house, the kitchen felt more llike one in a property borrowed from a friend, rather than one which was "recently refurbished to a high standard" as the introduction claims."

"Thank you so much for your comments in relation to Ard na Mara 11. All feedback we receive is very much welcomed as it all goes towards improving the standard of our holiday homes and the service we provide to our guests. Quite often what happens during the summer months is that guests of one holiday home are holidaying with friends or family in a neighbouring house, resulting in kitchenware being moved between the houses. Unfortunately this seems to have been the case here which resulted in you being left without, so I am sorry this was not noticed or rectified prior to your arrival. We will immediately address this. As for the issue with the seat in the toilet, this is a common blight nowadays with holiday homes - fake tan! Increasingly we are suffering markings to linens, towels and toilets from it. We will also get this rectified. Once again, thank you sincerely for your valuable feedback and I am glad that overall you were pleased with the holiday home and very much hope that you enjoyed your stay in the ever-popular Dingle."
