Incredible trip

"Stayed at Bunglasha for two weeks. Eighteen of us ranging in age from 3 to 75. The house exceeded my expectations. Modern with a beautiful view and access to the lake. Plenty of room for all of us. Adults in private bedrooms and kids in large room with double beds. Close to Killaloe where we did our grocery shopping. We prepared most of our meals at home. Great location for touring. Saw King John's castle, rock of Cashel, boat trip on the lake, trip to Holy Island in the lake, dinner at Dromoland Castle and medieval banquet at Bunratty and lots more. All close enough for an easy drive. We did get mobile phones at the Tesco store that were reasonable and had GPS in our cars so we stayed in touch. I recommend Bunglasha to anyone, but especially a large group. it's perfect."

The Perfect Getaway

"We travelled a long way to get to Bunglasha - all the way from Canada - to celebrate my husband's parents' 50th anniversary. We were a group of 20 some from 7 months to 75 years old. From the minute we arrived it felt like home from home. Bunglasha has everything you could possibly need for a vacation stay and was clean"

A one-off amazing place - superb

"When deciding on a vacation for a big family reunion and occasion our family (three kids aged 16, 15, and 8 months), my two brother in-laws (9, 7, 5 and 1) as well as my wife's parents. We wanted a place with space for us to all spread out and the kids could play to their hearts content. Bunglasha Lodge was the perfect find! We spent a week enjoying Pat's beautiful home and the gorgeous lakeside vista. Many people told us that Killaloe and Bunglasha are beautiful. Not one instance of trouble or strife did we have. The setting is truly wonderful and fresh, the rooms were spotless and comfortable and the grounds are breathtaking. I have never ever seen a place quite like it. Dining or Bbqing on the verandah facing the beautiful Lough Derg was a daily highlight. And with the spacious kitchen and dining room we catered to our own needs. Pat even arranged a keg of Guinness to be in the lodge bar and for set of bouncy castles for us from a local supplier. He also arranged for us to get a great deal on a boat from the Aengus at Castle Cruises. We arrived feeling welcome and left feeling like family. Thank you to Pat for making our stay so wonderful and a special thank for building such a wonderful house and for taking such good care of us. We are already talking about our next trip. I will definitely be recommending this special spot to anyone who is looking."

Group of people

"A group of 18 stayed in Bunglasha for the weekend and we were terribly sad to leave this stunning place. From the moment we made contact John the owner was a gentleman to deal with, extremely helpful not only with the accommodation but with other aspects of our stay. When we arrived John came to meet us (it is not an easy place to find which just adds to the beauty of this house as it so private). We settled into our surroundings immediately and there was so much space in this house that it didn't feel like there were 18 of us staying. The house is spotlessly clean and the cleaners were so helpful to us when we arrived as we had little gift bags to hand out and they kindly put on every pillow. Everyone had so much room in their own quarters and there is plenty of space to also congregate together in the living room, kitchen and outside. Everything was provided in terms of towels, crockery, cooking utensils, and there was plenty of everything (including condiments) so there was no need to bring anything. The house was warm and cosy and there was enough bathrooms and showers to accommodate us all. Outside is just AMAZING. Plenty of seating for a big group and the lake is just wonderful at all times of the day. John had kindly referred us to a local chef who came in and cooked us breakfast and also came back to cook a BBQ outside which was wonderful as the group were able to relax and enjoy the view whilst not having to worry about cooking!!. Another evening we visited Mark Anderson's Brasserie which was not far from the house and the food was amazing. Overall it was one of the most relaxing breaks ever and I could not recommend Bunglasha highly enough. It is definitely on my list of places to return to!"
