Courtyard Mews at Longueville House - Mallow Co. Cork

The Courtyard Mews is a five bedroomed luxury home adjacent to the historic manor house on 400 acre Longueville Estate. Surrounded by parkland, orchards and beautiful gardens, the Mews shares a large, partly cobbled courtyard with the rear of the main Manor house. Stylish living at its very best.

Please note that arrivals for weekly and weekend stays are strictly on a Friday and on a Monday or Tuesday for a mid-week stay.

The entrance hallway to the Mews is impressive and leads to the classic country kitchen which combines the very best of an old farmhouse style with contemporary appliances. It is fitted out with top of the range oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and Aga Range. The utility room is home to a second fridge, a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The sitting room is so homely and cosy and features a white marble fireplace which houses a welcoming open fire. The SMART TV offers Netflix and there is free wifi for our guests. Double doors lead through to another room which is both a dining room and a drawing room. The impressive dining table is perfect for entertaining or for getting together after a jam packed day full of activities and sight-seeing. The other end of the room is made cosy with a wood burning stove and comfy sofas to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after dinner.

There are five bedrooms, four upstairs and one downstairs. Each is ensuite. There is a double downstairs and the master double suite is upstairs along with another two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. There is adequate space for an extra single bed in study attached to master suite. Downstairs is a guest toilet for your convenience.

The Mews has a very private back garden with a lovely area to sit out on the summer garden furniture and enjoy a meal cooked on the gas Webber barbeque provided for your use. There are acres of gardens and land to explore along with some working dogs for you to play with and spoil during your stay.

Our guests are free to roam across this working estate on the banks of the Blackwater River where all the produce for the large house is grown. There is a fabulous reclaimed walled kitchen garden for vegetables, and a 32-acre cider apple orchard used to produce on-site artisan cider, some which is double distilled into an exclusive and unique Apple Brandy. The majestic group of oak trees in the parkland to the front of the house was planted in 1815, to celebrate Wellington's victory at the Battle of Waterloo. The wild flower meadow closer to the Manor House comes into bloom in mid-July and truly is a sight to behold!
