The meaning of the name of the house, Le Sruthan, is "by the stream". It is important to note that this stream runs along the bottom of the property so young children must be supervised at all times.
There are three bedrooms downstairs. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and is ensuite with shower. There is a second king-size bedroom along with a double bedroom. The main bathroom is downstairs and has both a shower and a bath along with a heated towel rail.
The kitchen is large and bright and modern. It has a tiered island unit with plenty of prep space and seats for 4 people. The kitchen has a feature “Belfast Sink’. The dining room comfortably seats 6 people and has a push button oil fire.
The living room is designed with comfort in mind and has three comfy leather couches along with a TV and DVD player and a wood-burning insert fireplace.
Oak floors feature throughout the living room, the bedrooms, hallway and upstairs den. All other floor surfaces are tiled.
The upstairs is a large mezzanine-style, en-suite den/yoga room,with fabulous natural light and views of Galway Bay and the Aran Islands. It has a new, very comfortable, double futon which can be used to sleep two people, allowing this home to accommodate up to 8 people.
Outside is a patio area with furniture and BBQ. There is plenty of space for parking.
Le Sruthan lies just 26 minutes (17km) from Galway City making it the ideal place to enjoy a Galway break.
The closest village is Spiddal which lies just 1.2 miles from Le Sruthan. The village offers a selection of restaurants and pubs, a hotel, pharmacy, supermarkets, bank, craft village and two beaches!
Barna Village is approximately 6 miles from the house and it is known for the fish restaurant "O'Grady's on the Pier".
