Oystercreek is a much-loved family home available now for summer rentals. It is located in the townland of Castletown, at Oysterhaven less than a 10 minute drive from Kinsale town and no more than 20 minutes from Cork airport. This is a water sports enthusiast’s heaven – you can literally hop in your kayak at the end of the drive and paddle away in the bay.
This is a private house entirely in its own grounds with a great garden area ideal for children as it has a treehouse and trampoline to enjoy.
The house itself is stylish yet lived in. It is a house that was created lovingly to be enjoyed by a family. In all, it can sleep 7-8 people in three double bedrooms and one single bedroom.
The master double is downstairs and is ensuite. Upstairs are the remaining three bedrooms. There are two staircases leading upstairs from either end of the house but they each give access to the entire upstairs area. There is a large landing area with lots of space for teens to just hang out and we can arrange for an extra bed to be set up in this area to accommodate one additional person.
The first of the bedrooms is a double bedroom. There is a single bedroom which has direct access into the family bathroom. The other bedroom also has a door directly into the family bathroom and it is a double bedroom.
The downstairs is somewhat open plan. There is a large bright, yet very cosy sitting room with an open fire and a large TV and lots of comfy seating. This connects through to another more relaxed sitting area with another TV – ideal for kids. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you will need to cater for your family or friends and there is a separate pantry area which doubles as a laundry room.
The closest restaurant “Finders” is one of the finest in Ireland and it is just a two minute drive away. Walton Court is about a 5 minute walk away (on a narrow country road) and it has a café.
This is the perfect house for a family that wants to reconnect and spend time together while seeking outdoor adventure and fun. The only trouble is you may never want to leave!
