Saoirse Cottage dates back 250 years and has recently been lovingly renovated to become a warm and cosy family home to accommodate up to 8 people.
There are four bedrooms (all double) and as would have been traditional all those years ago, just the one bathroom! As this is a bungalow, all the rooms are on the one level. There is the original cottage structure along with a large extension.
The living room is fitted with a comfortable suite of furniture and has a TV and DVD player along with Chromecast should you wish to download movies. Wifi is available free of charge at Saoirse Cottage.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need during your stay and there is a dining table and chairs.
There is a large outdoor patio area with wooden benches and table along with a selection of sun loungers for your use during your stay along with a BBQ. There is plenty of parking and privacy at Saoirse Cottage.
RESIDENT PETS AT SAOIRSE COTTAGE
This is lovely cottage if you are an animal lover as not only are there pet pot bellied pigs living there but it is also home to a turtle sanctuary! There are small ponds around the cottage which are home to rescued turtles. The owners also have their own dogs that live in one of the outbuildings and have their own run so they are entirely self-sufficient. There are also a couple of pet cats (these can be brought elsewhere if you are not cat-lovers).
Guests are welcome to bring along their own dogs but we respectfully ask that they be kept out of the bedrooms and off the furniture.
For anyone looking to explore the delights of County Clare by bike, the owner of this Cottage runs her own mobile bike hire service. The wonderful thing about this service is that she will deliver the bikes to wherever you decide to cycle and will collect them from you at a pre-arranged spot so you do not actually have to cycle all the way there and back – you can simply enjoy what you want to see without any of the hardship!!!
Saoirse Cottage is located 3kms from the market town of Ennistymon and only a 15 minute drive from all of County Clare’s main tourist attractions including the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the renowned music village of Doolin, the Aran Islands, Ailwee Caves and the village of Lahinch with its wonderful beach.
