Following is a list of answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
Is the price per person or per house?
All Dream Ireland homes are priced on a per house basis & include the stated number of persons each house can hold.
Do I need to bring my own bed linen?
No, all houses and apartments are supplied with duvets and all bed linen. Many of our homes also provide towels. Guests will need to bring bed linen for travel cots, if requested.
What facilities are available in the house?
All houses and apartments provide fully equipped kitchens most of which include microwaves and dishwashers. Also included are washing machine and dryers. Almost all homes have TV's in the living rooms, some properties have dvds (please enquire prior to arrival). Telephones are available in some of our properties. A travel cot and highchair can also be pre-booked with Dream Ireland with most of our properties prior to arrival. Some properties have a charge of approx. 15 euro per cot and highchair. A cot and highchair is subject to availability at each location Please note that not all our properties provide a cot and highchair. Some of our newer Suites are not fully self catering but are located on the grounds of hotels, please view our web site or call our dedicated reservations team for more details.
Is there an additional charge for electricity and gas?
Yes, electricity and gas is an additional charge paid on departure. In most cases it is charged according to meter readings taken on your arrival and again on your departure and are based on an average charge of 15 cent per unit. In some locations, heating and electricity is charged at a standard per day rate, this rate may vary from season to season. Please enquire with Dream Ireland Reservations Staff if you require clarification.
How early do I need to book?
We recommend that you book as early as possible especially if you are planning your holiday for the busy months of July and August. Ireland has numerous bank holidays during the summer season and these tend to be booked up at an early stage.
Do I require a credit card to book online?
Yes if you wish to make a booking on line a credit card is required. In the event of you not possessing a credit card we will hold your booking for 7 working days until we receive the appropriate deposit by post or bank transfer. Your deposit is payable to Dream Ireland by cheque, postal order or bankers draft
When do I pay in full for my holiday?
The balance of monies payable for your stay is expected 4 - 6 weeks prior to your arrival.
Is there a handling fee to make a booking?
Yes, a handling fee of €10 euro applies to every booking whether it is made online or over the phone. This is payable at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservation?
Any changes to your reservation must be made as early as possible by phone, fax or e-mail.
In the event of a cancellation deposits are non-refundable but at times they may be used for a booking at another stage. In the event of a no-show we are obliged to hold all monies paid to us. In the event where the balance has not been paid we will charge the full amount of your stay to your credit card.
In event of cancellation the following charges will apply:
a) Booking deposit is non refundable
b) 6 to 4 weeks before date of arrival 50%
c) 1 week or less before arrival 100%
An additional 1.5% commission is deducted from any portion of your transaction that is paid by credit card. Refunds to credit cards are also liable to a 1.5% deduction.
What facilities are available in the locality?
Almost all Dream Ireland properties are located in either seaside or lakeside settings with numerous activities and attractions nearby. Some properties are located in the grounds of Hotels with leisure facilities on site. Please enquire with Dream Ireland Reservations for a full list of facilities both onsite and locally.
What time can I check-in?
On receiving your balance of payment we will send you an information page containing the name and number of your supervisor along with certain rules. Check-in time is normally from 4pm onwards, however we do ask that you phone ahead the day before your arrival to give your supervisor an indication of your check in time. If you require an early check-in this must be arranged with your supervisor.
What time do I have to check-out?
Check-out time is strictly 10am during the Summer months of July & August. At other times we try to be as flexible as possible. Late check outs must be pre-arranged with the onsite supervisor. We ask that houses be left as they were found.
Do I have to pay a security deposit?
Yes, a security deposit is required to gain access to our Dream Ireland properties. This deposit is returned to you in full on your departure providing that the houses are left in a clean and tidy condition. (In some cases your security deposit will be returned to you by post within 14 days of departure).
A security deposit is required to cover any breakages or damage that may occur during your stay. A credit card number, post dated cheque or cash is accepted. In most cases the security deposit is €100.00, however, this can vary from location to location. Please enquire with Dream Ireland Reservations Staff, for further information. A full set of terms & conditions will be issued on receipt of final payment of your holiday.
Can I stay for 2-3 days or is it weekly letting only?
Yes our minimum requirement is 2 nights stay. This can be weekend or midweek (depending on availability) except for the months of July & August where our policy is to let on a weekly basis only.
Can I take a pet along?
Yes, a wide range of our properties accept pets. Our reservations staff can brief you on all of these properties or perhaps suggest kennels close to your chosen property. Please view our advanced search tool on our home page for a list of pet friendly locations.
Can I purchase a gift voucher for Dream Ireland Holiday Homes?
Yes, you can buy Gift Vouchers for any denomination from €50 up. Vouchers are open and can be used towards any Dream Ireland location. Alternatively, if you know what location the recipient might want to visit, you can buy a personalised voucher. Payment can be made by Visa, Master Card, cheque or bank transfer.
