Experience unparalleled luxury in this expansive 5,000 sq ft retreat nestled along the stunning Connemara coast, just moments from Barna Village and Galway City. Galway Escape seamlessly blends historic allure with contemporary elegance. Enter through a grand foyer leading to a state-of-the-art kitchen boasting three island units. The ground floor invites with a living room featuring a bar and retractable projector screen, complemented by a sunroom and playroom.
With two living rooms and an "event room", there are plenty of spaces for everyone to come together or indeed to get a bit of space from one another! The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you will need (and more!) and the combined dining room has a large table which is big enough for everyone to sit and enjoy a meal together after a busy and fun-filled day exploring Connemara.
There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and the house also has two guest toilets.
All six bedrooms are located on the first floor:
BEDROOM 1 - Master bedroom with super-king sized bed with ensuite and jacuzzi bath
BEDROOM 2 - King sized bed with ensuite
BEDROOM 3 - King sized bed with ensuite
BEDROOM 4 - King sized bed with ensuite
BEDROOMS 5 & 6 - each has a set of bunk beds and they share an ensuite
There’s also a living room with two single beds in it so in all, Galway Escape can very comfortably accommodate up to 14 people.
For the children, not only is there a dedicated playroom inside, there are swings, a hammock and trampoline outside in the big grassed garden. The grown ups have not been forgotten either. There is a cinema room - ideal for watching matches and movies, along with a large patio area with dining furniture, BBQ, sun loungers and even an outdoor hot tub!

BARNA
Barna, situated on Ireland's rugged western coast, is a delightful seaside village offering the perfect fusion of rural Irish charm and urban allure. A mere 7km from the lively city of Galway (approximately €20 by taxi to and from the house), Barna provides a serene escape while remaining within easy reach of the city's vibrant amenities and cultural treasures.
Nature's splendor surrounds Barna, as it rests along the renowned Connemara coast, beckoning watersports enthusiasts and admirers of stunning seascapes alike. Whether it's kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, or sailing, the coastal waters promise excitement for all. For those seeking a more leisurely pace, picturesque walking trails wind through verdant fields, pebbled beaches, and the enchanting shoreline. And, of course, don't forget your camera—Barna's golden sunsets are truly picture-perfect, worthy of any Instagram feed!
When it comes to dining, Barna is a food lover's paradise. Being a coastal village, you'll find some of the freshest seafood possible. Whether it's a casual fish-and-chips meal you seek or a fine dining experience complete with freshly caught oysters and lobster, the local eateries are sure to delight your palate. Coupled with traditional Irish pubs with a cozy atmosphere, you'll find it easy to experience the local culture right on your doorstep. Michelin Guide Recommended, "West" restaurant is 5 minutes walk as is the renowned "O'Grady's on the Pier" oyster and seafood restaurant.
For families, Galway doesn't disappoint. A range of outdoor playgrounds and indoor activity centers keep the little ones entertained. Nearby is also home to some excellent educational attractions, including marine centers and guided tours that provide fascinating insights into the local flora, fauna, and cultural history. Wildlands activity center is under 15 minutes drive and a huge hit with kids of all ages.
Accessibility is another feather in Barna's cap. The village is well-connected by road and public transport, making it easy for visitors to explore the nearby attractions.
