Achill Half Marathon is coming to the stunning Island of Achill on 6th July 2013. This beautiful island off the west coast of Mayo will see a staggering two and a half thousand plus entrants take on the mighty 13 mile route. This year the organisers have added a 10km run. Race director Helen Applegarth, who is also Manager of the Island’s tourism organization, said “Feedback from runners tells us it’s a combination of the challenging course, the beautiful views and the local hospitality that makes it so attractive to them.
