Caherdaniel is located on the sea shores and nestled among the mountains of Kerry, it is also proud of its Irish name “Cahair Donall”. The Village got its name from the stone fort Caher. The stone fort is located on the Kerry Way trail that runs north of the village. The village of Caherdaniel, famous for the most stunning beaches in Ireland. The Local History of Caherdaniel

The village of Caherdaniel is a good example of one of Ireland's coastal villages. Caherdaniel is located on the Iveragh peninsula on the Ring Of Kerry. It was also home to the Liberator Daniel O' Connell hero to the Irish People. The liberator's home today is open to the public as museum. Caherdaniel's Copper mines date back to 2000 BC, the mines can be still seen if you take a hill walk on the Kerry way.
