HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s all happening in Dublin, with the coming New Year’s Eve celebrations. There will be something to whet everyone’s appetite, from top class gigs, choral & gospel choirs and traditional Irish music performances. Let’s take a look at what is happening!
Live at the Guinness Storehouse 31st Dec, will be hosting a fabulous line of bands including, Ryan Sheridan, Royseven, the U2 tribute band Rattle & Hum, Knights of Leon and DJ’s Solas and Dave Dempsey.
Dublin Gospel Choir will lift your spirits with their amazing performance at the Christchurch Cathedral, bringing in the New Year with a spring in your step and a song in your heart. There will be an extra performance on New Year’s Day just in case you miss the first one.
Dublin NYE Countdown Concert brings an outdoor experience for the first time, in the grounds of College Green. There will be an outstanding line up including, Paul Brady, Damien Dempsey, Bressie and Riverdance. And with light shows and pyrotechnics to help it along, it will allow you see in the New Year in style.
NYE Festival markets will take place in Wolfe Tone Square and Barnardos square this year and will be filled with entertainment for all the family, including art & craft stalls, delicious food, street entertainment and shows for the kids and adults alike to enjoy.
The Big Brunch will keep things going for you on 1st Jan, as it’s no time to stop until the last band sing. One of the bands here includes, Electric Ceili, who rocked it last year and are back for more! There is also the swinging Vintage Tea Dance, where you can dance till you drop to the sounds of the Jazz era and The Swinging Blue Cats. They will be joined on the floor by chorus dancers, charleston girls, sailors, burlesque performers, contortionists, cancan and jitterbug dancers. Wow!
