IT’S CHRISTMAS!! Santa has lots of goodies in store for all you kids, both big and small this year. Every county in Ireland has its own festive thing going on. There are a wide range of exciting activities to be sought all over the country, from markets and fairs to ice skating shows and pantomimes...follow me and see what’s going on in Clare!
Santa’s Workshop at Aillwee Caves is a fantastic way to see in the Xmas season with you children from 1st – 22nd Dec. Santa specifically chose this cave to expand his ever growing toy making business and invites children from all over Ireland to experience what the spirit of Christmas means to him and his dedicated workers.
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, will be turned into a magical winter wonderland this year from 2nd – 23rd Dec. Santa will be in his Grotto, Mrs Claus will be in the Kitchen and their team of elves will be around to keep you entertained all day long, with special stories and puppet shows. The street will be filled with festive lights, where you can shop till you drop or just enjoy the festivities with some mulled wine and minced pies.
Santa’s Kingdom at Imecofarm,Clarecastle, invites you to join in the festive spirit when this huge period building will be transformed into a Xmas delight, with markets, snow play area, a ‘BIG’ style floor piano and train rides. You can also follow the star to baby Jesus, go meet Santa in his cottage for a story and Mrs Claus has a very special free gift ready for you.
Captain Santa has a very special surprise for you when you visit him, in Shannon, on his own AEROPLANE!! Join him on the weekends of 8th & 9th and 17th &18th Dec, in the cockpit to see where it all happens. Fly all over the world in the flight simulation area and know how it feels to be the big man on Xmas Eve!
Jack & the Beanstalk pantomime comes to Ennis on 27th – 30th Dec, plus an extra show on 1st Jan 2012. “Oh no it doesn’t”... “Oh yes it does!”
Moher Hill Farm has a special treat for you as it turns into a Grotto this year on 9th – 11th Dec, plus an added week from 16th – 23rd Dec. Santa will be making regular visits here to dish out some presents; the kids can get involved with the animals, while the parents can enjoy the lovely minced pies and warming mulled wine.
