Ballysheen is a spacious, airy, light filled house. It is located within 100 yards of the award winning Lobster Pot Restaurant and less than one mile from the safe, sandy Carne beach.  This house can sleep up to 10 people (with a maximum 8 adults) in four spacious bedrooms. 

Layout of house:

The open plan living area combines the kitchen, dining area & sitting area (seats 6) and has a lovely cosy open fire.  There is also a large separate family room with an open fire ideal for the growns ups to relax in the evenings. 

This house has four bedrooms. 

On the ground floor there is a double and a twin bedroom along with a shower room and toilet. 

Upstairs are two large family bedrooms.  One has a double and single bed and the other one has a double and two single beds and both of them are en suite. 

This is a semi-detached house located beside the owner's house.  It is set in a small quiet estate with of 5 detached houses in total and features security gates.

To the rear of Ballysheen is a private patio with garden furniture and guests can freely access the owner's 3.5 acre garden next door with a children's play area, a hard tennis court, a fenced in pond (adult supervision required) and "an enchanted forest"!

Heating and electricity is included in the rental price.

Pets

Pets are welcome at Ballysheen House. Maximum of 2 x dogs are allowed on request. There is an extra charge of €45 per pet.  We respectfully ask that pets are kept on a lead while outside in the garden.

History and Culture
 
National Heritage Park where 9000 years of Irish history is retold as you stroll through an outdoor museum which recreates a Neolithic farmstead, ring fort, crannog and monastery.
 
Enniscorthy Castle has been refurbished recently and the rooms of Mr Roche ( who lived here early 20th century) have been recreated. There is a wonderful view of Vinegar Hill from the castle roof.
 
1798 Visitor center Enniscorthy informs the visitor of the significance of the 1798 Rebellion and its role in leading to democracy today. It is presented through an audio visual screening and interactive exhibits.
 
The Wexford Garden Trail
 
– there is a diverse number of beautiful gardens open to the public from May to September which offer tranquil walks in woodland gardens, Japanese garden, Egyptian garden , mirror garden. Many are sensitively created using water features, stone lanterns and follies and have tearooms to relax after a peaceful walk.

Yola Farmstead Folk Park
 
Farm animals and flapping birds roam the reconstructed 18th Century thatchec cottages, working windmill and tiny, four pew church at Yola Farmstead Folk Park. The name of this small heritage centre comes from the local dialect, which still survives today. The park is just outside Tagoat, on the N25.
