A popular Irish holiday destination for families, groups and couples, the five-star Castlemartyr resort, located in the South East of Ireland in Cork, has become known as one of the finest luxury destination resorts in Ireland. The lodges are modern and well finished and would be classified as a four star self-catering property.
The entrance hall has plenty of space to store golf clubs, clothes and shoes but if you need more room then there is also a separate cloakroom with a WC and basin. Step through the inner door and you’ll be greeted by bright and spacious open-plan living, dining area, it’s inviting and finished off with a polished wooden floor. The kitchen is fully equipped and also open-plan with the living area for sociable cooking.
Upstairs, both bedrooms feature king size beds and luxurious en-suite bathrooms complete with toiletries. One of the king beds is a zip link so can be turned into 2 single beds if required. Please request this at reservations stage.
In addition, should you require your lodge to sleep up to 5 people, we have a number of extra beds available on request for a small additional charge of €25 per stay (only one extra bed per Lodge)

Free Wi-Fi, Flat screen television, music system, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, central heating, coffee maker & washing machine. Cot and highchair are available on request.
The arrival time is 4.00pm. When you arrive the heating and hot water will beon. Your welcome hamper will include a number of items such as fresh milk, tea-bags, coffee, bread, cheese and other condiments. Perishable goods will be left in the fridge.
Each guest will receive bath and hand towels, a spa towel as well as toiletries.
We would be grateful if you could observe the departure time of 10.00am.
Child minders are available, please contact our reception team if you wish to book one. Hourly rates are €12 per family.
Travel cots and high chairs are available on request for our younger guests. We advise parents to bring their own cot sheets.
Pets at Castlemartyr
The Lodges at Castlemartyr welcome pets on request. There is a charge of €50.00 per stay (for up to two pets). Please ensure you mention your intention to bring along your pet at time of booking.
Castlemartyr Resort has so much to offer within walking distance of the lodges! All is elegantly presented and there is a great mix of style and comfort. Gourmet cuisine is available and is of the highest quality being prepared from local, farm fresh produce. You can spend hours relaxing at the Spa and Health CLub which includes a swimming pool, nail salon, sauna, steam rooms, yoga studio, 9 private treatment rooms and a jet pool. If you’re feeling more energetic then you can head outside into the estate’s grounds where you can try your hand at golf, croquet, fly casting and fishing tutorials and even archery (over 12’s only). If you’d like a tour of the estate, you can do so with a horse and carriage.
Children are welcome to use our heated indoor swimming pool at certain times.

We ask that children are always accompanied with adult supervision at all times when swimming.
Please note swimming hats are required. They can be purchased at the Health Club reception for €3.
The Spa at Castlemartyr
The Spa at Castlemartyr includes 8 private treatment rooms and 2 couple suites, the Beauty Rooms offering hair, nail and beauty treatments, fitness centre including a yoga and fitness studio, ozone treated pool, jet pool, spacious wet treatment areas with separate sauna and steam rooms.

For health and safety reasons the minimum age for young people to use other areas of the spa, including jet pool, gym, saunas and steam room is 17 years.
The Bell Tower Restaurant
For delectable gourmet dishes, the Bell Tower restaurant offers a 5 star culinary experience you will not forget. The award winning restaurant is relaxed, elegant and overlooks the magnificent formal gardens. It offers the very best of modern Irish cuisine always using the finest seasonal produce. Please ensure you make your dinner reservations well in advance of your stay to avoid disappointment.
Franchini’s Italian Restaurant
Franchini’s, our casual dining Italian restaurant offers the finest in Italian pizzas, traditional pasta and risotto dishes. Located in the heart of the Resort, our restaurant overlooks the extensive gardens. All providing the ideal backdrop with al fresco dining on the terrace in the warmer Summer months. Please ensure you make your dinner reservations well in advance of your stay to avoid disappointment.
Lady Fitzgerald’s Afternoon Tea, a uniquely stylish take on a firm favourite, is served in the Bell Tower Restaurant. Featuring a mouth-watering medley of sweet and savoury treats. Children’s Afternoon Tea is also served, including cookies, bite size sandwiches and a milkshake or hot chocolate.
The Knight’s Bar
The Knights Bar offers a more relaxed dining option with an impressive array of Irish Whiskeys. It is the ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal. Our Lounge Menu is available all day and in the evenings, the bar provides a warm and intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy a pre or post dinner beverage.
Enjoy a casual dining experience in The Pod Clubhouse and relax while overlooking the stunning panoramic views of the golf course. You can enjoy a simple and satisfying bite to eat where you can unwind and keep up to date with Sky Sports.
Castlemartyr Golf Club is the creation of renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as Dromoland Castle, The Old Head in Kinsale and Gleneagles in Scotland. In Castlemartyr Golf Resort, Ron Kirby has developed an inland links that creates a visually pleasing yet challenging experience.
The resident PGA professional is available for golf tuition which can be arranged through the Pro Shop. Lessons can either be taken individually or as a group.
Enjoy a private tour of the estate in the horse and carriage or pony and trap. The tours are a great way to see the estate and Roy our carriage man who has a long connection with the estate, will be sure to point out particular areas of interest.
