Right in the centre of Sneem village on the Ring of Kerry, Running River House is a spacious, modern home now available for holiday rental. With seven bedrooms, it can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests. Located beside an identical property, Sound of the River, both homes can be booked together for larger gatherings - ideal for family groups or friends travelling together, with space for up to 28 people in total.
The location is hard to beat. The private garden backs onto the river, fully enclosed with secure fencing. Please be aware, as always, that children should be supervised when outside due to the proximity of the water.
Step outside your front door and you’re in the heart of Sneem, with its friendly pubs, cafés and local shops. Kenmare is around a 20-minute drive away, and several beautiful beaches - including those near Caherdaniel and Derrynane - are also within easy reach.
Inside, the ground floor features a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area with a large fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and island with high stools. The dining table seats 8–10, and we’re happy to help with extra seating arrangements if needed.
A utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience.
Double doors lead to the back patio - an ideal spot to enjoy some quiet time and listen to the river.
The house is laid out over three floors. On the ground floor there’s a king bedroom with en-suite, plus a guest toilet. Upstairs on the first floor are four further bedrooms - three kings (two en-suite) and one twin room with two single beds - along with a family bathroom featuring a freestanding bath and separate shower.
The top floor has two twin bedrooms (each with two single beds) and a shared bathroom - perfect for children or teenagers.
Wi-Fi is included free of charge. Bed linen and indoor towels are provided, but do bring beach towels if you plan to swim or visit the sea.
