Located in the very heart of the village of Sneem on the Ring of Kerry, Sound of the River is now available for rentals. This is a brand new, large and impressive home with seven bedrooms so in all, up to 14 people can stay at any one time. It is set alongside an identical home – Running River House, so for larger groups, this is the perfect place to get together, as up to 28 people could be accommodated between the two homes.
The setting could not be more lovely or more convenient! The back gardens sweep down to the River’s edge but are separated by a secure and safe fence. As they are so close to the water though, young children should always be supervised when outside at all times.
The village of Sneem is just steps from your front door and it offers a wonderful selection of pubs, places to eat and shops for your enjoyment. Sneem is located about a 20-minute drive from Kenmare and a similar distance to sandy beaches in the direction of Caherdaniel and Derrynane.
The downstairs is home to the open plan kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is bright and modern and has everything you will need during your stay including large fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is an island unit for food preparation with high stools for additional seating.
The dining table can seat 8-10 people, and should you require additional space for larger sit-down meals, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
For your convenience, there is a mashing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room off the kitchen/ dining area.
Patio doors lead outside to the private back patio area – the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch the world go by with the sounds of the river in the background.
The bedrooms are split over three floors. On the ground floor is a king-sized bedroom which is ensuite and there is a guest toilet downstairs too for your convenience.
Four more bedrooms are located up the stairs on the first floor – three king sized bedrooms (two are ensuite) and a twin bedroom (two singles). There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a stand-alone bath and separate shower.
The two remaining bedrooms are located up the next staircase and are ideal for children and teens. Each has two single beds and they share a bathroom.
Wifi is available free of charge to our guests and all bed linen and towels for use within the house are provided. We recommend you bring along your own towels though if you plan to spend time at the beach.
