Description
This lovely newly refurbished home, lovingly built and furnished by its owners who live in the house on the farm next door. It is a lovely bright, fresh home with very comfortable furnishings so you can really sit back and relax during your stay. It is a bungalow, so all rooms are on the same level. Although not adapted for wheelchair users, if needed, a wheelchair would be able to access all areas of the house.
The living area is all open plan and encompasses the kitchen, dining and sitting room areas. The kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There are a couple of seats at the counter which doubles as a breakfast bar. The dining area has seating for six people and offers wonderful views to the lake beyond. The sitting room is warm, inviting and cosy and has both TV and a welcoming wood burning stove (wood will be supplied for you).
There are three bedrooms – one twin room and two king sized bedrooms. There is one family bathroom with a step in shower.
Patio doors lead from the living area outside to the patio area with furniture and BBQ where you can sit out and enjoy the long summer evenings in this peaceful lakeside location. There is parking by the patio and there is a fully enclosed area with artificial grass for kids to play in.
If you have guests joining you for a night or two, the sofa in the living room converts into a bed which is suitable only for two children though.
Wifi is available free of charge during your stay and all bed linen and towels are provided.
Unfortunately, we do not accept pets in this location.
PLEASE NOTE
A daily energy charge of €8 per day for June, July and August and €10 per day for all other months is payable in advance to Dream Ireland. In addition, on arrival you will be asked to pay over €200 in cash as a security deposit to the caretaker. This will be returned to you on departure providing the caretaker is satisfied there have been no breakages or damages.

Less than a 10 minute drive from The Lake Lodge is Derg Isle activity centre which is jam-packed full of great things to do for families including kayaking, paddleboarding, climbing wall, obstacle course, archery and lake boat hire.
