The World Invitational Father and Son Golf Tournament is back in the beautiful Waterville Golf Links and will be held from 7th–11th Aug, for the 24th year running. This particular links venue in Waterville is heralded to be one of the world’s most famous links courses and was recently influenced by Tom Fazio, whilst other well known players associated with the venue include Dan Quayle, Dan Marino, Bobby Orr and Denis Taylor, which is quite an accolade. Dan Robertson of Connecticut will be attending for the sixth consecutive years and vows to play golf until ‘I am toes up.’ This event is an exceptional opportunity to meet people from all over the world and also share many unique and special moments with your family, in a unique setting.

Waterville links course was brought back to life in the 1950’s by Jack Mulcahy who had returned to his native country to enjoy the abundant salmon and trout fishing, of which Waterville is quite famous for along with its beauty. Waterville is based in along the Ring of Kerry; it’s a picturesque little village which overlooks the stunning Ballinskelligs Bay while also resting beside the beautiful Lake Currane, which is renowned for having some of the best sea trout and salmon angling in Europe. This along with two of the most famous golf links in the world, a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants and such activities as canoeing, horse riding, sailing and diving and all enclosed by the most charming scenery that South West Kerry has to offer. But with that said it still remains true to its humble beginnings and holds onto the fact that, even though it is widely popular with tourists it still remains un-commercialised and traditional.
