Park Inn Mulranny

The Park Inn Mulranny (formerly the Great Western Hotel) is a stunning hotel perched on a unique site overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Situated on a 42 acre woodland estate the hotel has retained much of its original character and charm, which is combined with the very best in contemporary comfort and style.

Facilities include 41 unique and comfortable guest bedrooms and 20, 2 bed room apartment suites and full leisure facilities including 20 meter swimming pool. The local Blue Flag Beach is just a short walk away via the "causeway". WOODLAND LODGES:

Set out in a circle in a spacious and private clearing are the 10 Woodland Lodges. Each comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom downstairs (sharing a bathroom) & 1 kingsize double upstairs with ensuite bathroom. The Lodges are approx. 1100 sq ft in area and are set in circle style with a woodland backdrop & beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.  Each lodge has a patio area to the front & back.

RAILWAY HOUSES:

There are 8 Railway Houses which are approx. 1500 sq ft. in area also comprising 3 bedrooms. These houses are very contemporary in style with balconies at various levels throughout the house.   These houses are perched on an elevated site offer wonderful views towards the surrounding mountaing.

Ground Floor: 1 double bedroom and one twin bedroom downstairs (sharing a bathroom)

1st Floor: Sitting room with stunning floor to ceiling windows.  Kitchen and dining area.

2nd Floor: 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom

Please note that as there are quite a lot of stairs in the Railway Lodges.  The Woodland Lodges may be a more suitable option for families with young children, elderly relations or those with difficulty with stairs.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR IN MULRANNY

Please note there are limited places throughout the festive season so please book early if you wish to dine at the hotel.

Christmas Eve - The bar will be open to all with bar food served. Carol singers in evening.
 
Christmas Day - Nephin Restaurant on Christmas Day - the restaurant will be open to the public & residents of the houses for Lunch. The cost will be €60 per person with children at €30. All bookings have to be pre booked with the hotel (inquire with Dream Ireland) & pre paid. Lunch will be served from 1pm. Times will vary but we will organise this at time of booking. 
Please note: There will be a limited number of tables available for Christmas Day lunch so early booking is advised, to avoid disappointment.
 
St Stephen’s Night - Dinner will also be open to the public & residents of the houses from 7pm. There will be a limited number of tables available so again early booking is advised. The cost will be €60pp and booking for this are to be made at reception/restaurant. Name, phone number & credit card details are needed to secure booking. We do not take payment at this stage. There will be entertainment in the Granuaile Suite that evening and this is included in the €60 dinner price.   Tickets for the entertainment only can be purchased at the door for €10pp. There will be no entertainment in the bar.
 
New Years Eve – The Restaurant will be open to the public for dinner from 7.30pm. There will be a limited number of tables available so early booking is advised. The cost will be €60pp including glass of Champagne at Midnight. Bookings will be taken by reception or restaurant. There will be FREE entertainment in the bar that evening to help you ring in the New Year!

Nephin Restaurant

The Head Chef Seamus Commons who is from Bohola, Co. Mayo has worked in a host of award winning restaurants including one Michelin Star restaurant. Seamus has received a plethora of praise from some of Ireland's most respected critics and fellow chefs.  The restaurant recently got a wonderful review from the Bridgestone Guide's "Best Places to Eat & Stay for 2007" by Sally & John McKenna.

His menus reflect his dedication to fresh, locally sourced ingredients his emphasis always on home-made produce, breads, pastries and desserts to die for. The food at the Nephin Restaurant is accompanied by a extensive well priced wine list. The friendly and excellent service of our Restaurant Team which is supervised by Nick Faujours together with the superb vista of Clew Bay provides a truly unique dinning experience.

Whether you come on your own or with friends the Waterfront Bar & Bistro at the Park Inn Mulranny offers a relaxing atmosphere for one and all.

The Waterfront Bar & Bistro is ideally situated within the hotel and makes the most of the stunning views of Clew Bay. Enjoy a quiet drink on the veranda or in the colder months relax by our open fires. Our Bistro Menu is available daily from 12.30pm.
