Hello and welcome back for another fabulous Killarney’s Maxi Marathon, this year taking place on the 20th July and allowing you the chance to take in some of the most fantastic scenery in Ireland. If long distance running is your thing then there can be no better place to be doing it than through the wonderful mountain ranges and passed the incredible lakes of Killarney National Park. This particular route is 15 miles long and takes you from the Barifinny Lake on the Sneem/Killarney road to Muckross House in the Killarney National Park. The last 3 miles of the race will take you past the clear waters of Muckross Lake, passed Dinis Cottage, over Brickeen Bridge and finishing at Muckross House. There will be many striking things to see on your 15 mile journey to inspire you and help you along the way.
It would have to be said that not to be moved by the wonder and magnificence of Killarney National Park’s huge mountain ranges, shifting countryside and crystal lakes would be very difficult indeed so it would be a real shame to miss the opportunity to experience Killarney in all its glory as there is so much more on offer too.
