Mountain View is an exclusive private gated collection of homes within the Sheen Falls Country Club. Although separate to the Hotel, guests of Mountain View have access to the onsite facilities of Sheen Falls Lodge including the swimming pool (please note that there are specific hours when children may use the pool).
Mountain View 8 is a large (2357 sq ft), spacious four bedroomed house on two floors. The entrance is light filled and airy as the staircase has glass sides and opens up onto a glass balcony area upstairs. The kitchen and dining area are one. The dining table can comfortably seat up to eight people and there is also a breakfast bar with two high stools – ideal for having a coffee while reading the paper or catching up on emails. The kitchen is very well equipped with a gas hob, electric over, coffee machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a separate utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. You can enter the utility room directly from the outside by a separate door which is ideal if you are brining in wellies or sports equipment.
The sitting room is spacious, yet cosy with three couches, two coffee tables, TV and a traditional open fire. Perfect for all gathering together in the evening.
Outside is a large patio area with a comfortable rattan garden furniture set and BBQ for you to enjoy.
The main family bathroom is downstairs and has a bath with a shower over it. All four bedrooms are ensuite with shower. There is one king bedroom downstairs and the remaining three bedrooms are upstairs – two with king sized beds and the third with two single beds. This bedroom also has a TV. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space.
The light filled balcony area upstairs is a lovely place to relax and read a book on the comfortable reclining chair or you could bring the chair outside to the outdoor balcony where you could sunbathe and relax in complete privacy from any other house.
The houses are Mountain View are surrounded by grass, plants and flowers which are beautifully maintained. This is a lovely place to spend time with family or friends in your own private home but still have access to hotel facilities during your stay.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR
FALLS RESTAURANT & THE STABLES - Please note that there will be no access to the Falls Restaurant or Bar from the 24th December until the 4th January as the Hotel is booked exclusively for those staying on an all-inclusive Christmas/ New Year package. However, the Stables Restuarant and bar will be open for lunch on the 24th December, closed that evening and the whole of the 25th & 26th December. It will re-open for lunch only for the 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December (not open for dinner to non-hotel bedroom guests on these days). There is a set menu dinner with music on the 31st December (must be pre-booked with the hotel) and then the Stables will re-open again for lunch only on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd January (dinner will again be reserved for hotel bedroom guests only).
EASANNA SPA - The pool and spa will close on the 24th December at 6pm. It will be open on the 25th December from 9am-12 noon and again from 3-6pm (pre-booking is essential). On the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December, the Spa will open from 9am-8pm and on the 31st December it will be open from 9am-6pm only. The 1st January opening hours will be from 9am-8pm.
Guests of Mountain View have free access to the onsite facilities of the Sheen Falls Lodge Hotel including leisure centre with swimming pool, except when there is a wedding or function in the Hotel. Please note the children's hours are 9am to 6pm (last entry into the pool is 5.30pm).
Pets are not allowed at Mountain View at Sheen Falls Lodge however kennels are available locally in Kenmare. Call Shane Dignam on 087 9196660.

Eclipse Ireland, a custom built family orientated Equestrian and Adventure Centre is partnered with Sheen Falls Lodge to provide guests an abundance of Equestrian and Adventure Activities catering for the most discerning guest that includes horse riding ∙ archery ∙ mud surfing ∙ assault course ∙ kayaking ∙ orienteering ∙ team games ∙ raft building ∙ cycling ∙ fishing on Eclipse Lake and much more ∙ Take lessons in any of these activities from their qualified instructors ∙ You can also enrol your children on one of their superb pony and activity camps.
Horse lovers will be in their element as there is excellent off-road trekking over the estate's own beautiful trails set against a magnificent mountain and river backdrop.
Star Sailing & Adventure Centre
This purpose-built Activity Centre and Bar/Restaurant is fast becoming an essential part of a family holiday in Kenmare. The centre itself is situated on the shores of Kenmare Bay and surrounded by the Caha Mountains just a five minute drive from Kenmare Town Centre. The activities on offer include kayaking, sailing, canoeing, sea kayaking, hillwalking, team games and a Wildlife Safari Cruise on Kenmare Bay. Also available are the children’s playground, American pedal boats, water trampoline and slide, archery range, soccer pitch with changing facilities and the family walking trail.
BONANE HERITAGE PARK
The Bonane Heritage Park provides visitors with an 1600 metre walk on gravel paths through 5000 years of history while enjoying some breathtaking scenery. Bonane Heritage Park is situated 10km from Kenmare on the N71 and is open to visitors all year round.
Kenmare boasts two super golf courses. The Ring of Kerry Golf Course is located two miles outside of the town and offers spectacular views of Kenmare Bay from the course itself and also its newly renovated Club House. Dream Ireland guests may avail of special discounted green fees.
Kenmare Golf Club is located in Kenmare Town and follows the shores of Kenmare Bay Estuary.
There are lots of great fishing spots to choose from around Kenmare including Clonee Lake, Kenmare Bay and the Black Valley. Permits can be obtained locally.
The Kerry Way and Beara Way walking routes are ideal for those with an interest in trekking or you could even join the annual summer hike to Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntouhil. The foothills of the famous MacGillycuddy Reeks are right on Kenmare's doorstep.

Kenmare is known as the jewel in the Ring of Kerry and no wonder with its location between two of the most beautiful touring routes in Europe - the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. These make for very enjoyable day trips from Kenmare.
Kenmare is a designated Heritage Town of Ireland and the town offers a huge selection of places of historical interest to visit. Even strolling around the town is itself a pleasure with Kenmare having received awards from Entente Floral and the award for the Tidiest Town in Ireland in the year 2000. Kenmare was recently awarded the accolade of Ireland's best kept town on the whole island of Ireland and deservedly so!
Killarney is a 40 minute drive and Cork City is just over an hour's drive.

The town of Kenmare, noted for having the cleanest air in Europe, is a mecca for some of the finest restaurants in Ireland. You really will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out, from bar food to seafood and a range of other types of excellent restaurants to experience. The nightlife in Kenmare suits all ages and the hospitality with which you will be greeted is second to none. There is a great selection of pubs and late night bars to choose from with many featuring live music from traditional Irish to rock and modern styles.
