In the old part of the structure the walls are not plastered, they are simple bare stone, and have been simply pointed with lime mortar. There is no plasterwork, just lovely stone walls. Also, in keeping with the traditional feel, the house does not have skirting boards or fitted carpets. Instead, painted floors and rush matting have been used throughout.
