Located in the heart of the Town of Kenmare, Peggy Cronin’s Cottage is the ideal choice for your holiday.
The home is spacious, bright and modern in finish. The Cottage consists of three bedrooms – one double ensuite and two twin rooms. The back garden is enclosed and suitable for children. This is a three storey house and has quite a few steps throughout so perhaps not suitable for people with mobility issues.
The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with all modern conveniences including electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. In addition, all necessary kitchen utensils and crockery are provided.
The house is heated with underfloor heating and there are storage heaters in each room. In addition, all bed linen and towels are provided.
Electricity for heating and lighting is an extra charge of €35.00 per week and is payable on departure. For stays that are less than a week electricity is charged at 5.00 per day.
A refundable security deposit is required on check in. This is €100.00 and payable in cash to the supervisor. It is refunded on departure once there are no breakages or damages.
Pets at Peggy Cronins Cottage
Pets are welcomed to Peggy Cronins Cottage on a request basis, please mention at time of booking if you would like to bring your pet. There is an additional charge of €30.00 per pet payable onsite. We respectfully ask that you keep your dog on a lead while outdoors and in the tiled area of the home. Pets must be prearranged with Dream Ireland prior to arrival. If you are bringing along a pet the security deposit is slightly higher at 150.00 (again this is refunded on departure once the house is left as it’s found)
Travelling with Kids
We provide one travel cot and one highchair. Please pre-book with Dream Ireland. You will need to bring your own cot linen. The house is in town close to all amenities including shops, reaturants, kiddies playground and the peninsula walk to the pier.

Peggy Cronins Cottage has a 1 bed "Kenmare Corner House" right beside it so it's ideal for a larger family group look for there own space.
Kenmare lies approximately 30 minutes drive from a host of sandy beaches and it has a very pretty harbour from where you can swim, fish or take a trip on the "Seafari Cruise" to view the wildlife in the area.
Star Sailing & Adventure Centre
Star Sailing & Adventure Centre is situated on the shores of Kenmare Bay and surrounded by the Caha Mountains just a five minute drive from Kenmare Town Centre. The range of activities includes Sailing, Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, Windsurfing, Hillwalking, Boat Trips and much more. There is something to suit all the family.

Kenmare boasts two super golf courses. The Ring of Kerry Golf Course is located two miles outside of the town and offers spectacular views of Kenmare Bay from the course itself and also its newly renovated Club House. Dream Ireland guests may avail of special discounted green fees .
Kenmare Golf Club is located in Kenmare Town and follows the shores of Kenmare Bay Estuary.
There are lots of great fishing spots to choose from around Kenmare including Clonee Lake, Kenmare Bay and the Black Valley. Permits can be obtained locally.
The Kerry Way and Beara Way walking routes are ideal for those with an interest in trekking or you could even join the annual summer hike to Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntouhil. The foothills of the famous MacGillycuddy Reeks are right on Kenmare's doorstep.
Kenmare and its vicinity offers some incredible dive spots and wrecks. You may even be lucky enough to come across a dolphin or two. Try-dives are available for beginners and advanced dives for the more experienced. For more information visit www.kenmarebaydiving.com.
Pony Trekking is the ideal way to explore the hidden treasures of Kenmare and its hinterland. Professional lessons are also available for beginners.

Kenmare is known as the jewel in the Ring of Kerry and no wonder with its location between two of the most beautiful touring routes in Europe - the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. These make for very enjoyable day trips from Kenmare.
Kenmare is a designated Heritage Town of Ireland and the town offers a huge selection of places of historical interest to visit. Even strolling around the town is itself a pleasure with Kenmare having received awards from Entente Floral and the award for the Tidiest Town in Ireland in the year 2000.
Killarney is a 40 minute drive and Cork City is just over an hour's drive.
