This is the longest running Arts festival in Ireland and is a celebration of the original Oireachtas – or congregation of authorities – which was first established in the 7th century. This Irish speaking event welcomes people of all ages and descriptions from singers, dancers, poets, writers, storytellers, actors, impersonators and musical composers. Oireachtas na Samhna is the first and last name in Irish language festivals which integrates all the Irish art forms from traditional singing, dancing, storytelling and music-making.
