Nearby Kenmare (4 miles) was laid out in 1775 and, despite a thriving business community, it has managed to preserve its old world charm. There are excellent restaurants and two five star hotels, not to mention colourful pubs and quaint little shops. Killarney lies in the opposite direction and has much to lure the visitor. There are golf clubs galore, with The Ring of Kerry Golf Course virtually on the doorstep and 2 more courses nearby. Fishing, hiking and horse riding are available also. 'Star Sailing' offers cruising, kayaking, sailing, hillwalking or extreme sports. We are on the famous 'Kerry Way'.

Beyond Kenmare, lies the road to the Beara Peninsula and the rest of the renown Ring of Kerry route.

What an experience!

"Nothing can beat waking up to these views across the bay! Except maybe watching the kids playing football whilst relaxing with a cuppa in the garden - an incredible feeling of comfort and warmth. The home and the whole area have been amazing, welcoming and inspiring. Special mention to Eithne, I don't think I have ever met a nicer person!"
