Beechlawn overlooking Kenmare Bay - Kenmare Co. Kerry

Brand New | Large Capacity | Private Cottage | Activity and Adventure | Wi-Fi | Luxury Holiday Homes | Seaview | Romantic Properties

Description

With unrivalled views towards Kenmare Bay below, Beechlawn is a truly wonderful place to holiday and enjoy this most beautiful corner of Ireland. The moment you drive through the gate you will be encompassed by the beautiful lawns and the views beyond. There is plenty of car parking space close to the entrance door. You enter through the utility area (ideal for kicking off wellies or flip flops depending on the season) into the open plan living area. The first thing you will see when you walk in is the incredible uninterrupted view over the Bay below from all of the floor to ceiling windows and doors.

LAYOUT

Although open plan, this space has clearly defined areas within it. The kitchen is really well laid out and has everything you will need during your stay including a Rangemaster, beautifully crafted cabinets, dishwasher, fridge freezer and plenty more besides. It has an island unit perfect for preparing meals and a stool to sit at. To the left is the cosy sitting room area with comfy couches, SMART TV and great views. The dining table is in the middle of the room and can be extended to comfortably seat 8 people. There is a little corner to the right of the room with a vibrant orange loveseat and matching upholstered chair – perfect for retiring to with a good book. The wood burning stove and eye catching blue fireplace takes up the right hand wall area and provides an attractive focal point in the room.

Separate is the sunroom with more comfy couches to sink into while enjoying the views and perhaps a steaming cup of morning coffee or an aperitif before dinner. The telescope in the corner will offer you the chance to spot stars and constellations here on the edge of the Dark Sky Reserve. If you feel you need to escape from the rest of the house you can close off this sunroom using the sliding door between it and the main living space.

There is a door from the main living area as well as bilfold doors leading from the sunroom out onto the deck where you will really capture the essence of this property and the views beyond. Relax and enjoy the long summer evenings sitting at the picnic bench.  There is also a bbq and fire pit for your use during your stay.

Should the weather turn cold or wintery you could move inside and snuggle up in front of the stove with some board games thoughtfully provided for your use by the owners.

There are four bedrooms to the left of the living area. Please note that there are a couple of shallow steps going down to this area. The main bathroom is a wet room style with walk in shower. Beside this is the amply sized single bedroom into which we can put a camp bed suitable for a child or teen. Next door is a double bedroom with wash hand basin and mirror over it. Each of these rooms offers views towards the Bay.

There is a lovely twin bedroom overlooking the garden opposite and then the master double bedroom has a king size bed and large ensuite with both a bath and a separate shower.

WiFi

Guests can access the wifi free of charge and there is a bluetooth music system for you to hook up your own devices to and set the mood for your stay.

THE SETTING

Beechlawn is set on 2.7 acres of land. Below the house are beautifully lawns with little pathways criss crossing through. To the rear, are the wilder gardens with a number of ponds dotted throughout. These are somewhat elevated and there is a viewing area with seats at the top offering the most spectacular views towards the sea below.

UNCOVERED PONDS ON THE PROPERTY

LOCATION

Located on the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way, Beechlawn is nestled into its own little private space yet is just a ten minute drive from the vibrant tourist town of Kenmare with its great selection of pubs, restaurants and quirky shops. Killarney is a 50 minute drive away and Cork airport is approximately an hour and 45 minutes drive.

There is a little beach within a 4 minute drive of the house called Coss Strand. Lovely for a stroll or even for a dip if you are brave enough!

Wonderful Views

"Spectacular views from this spacious home. Well equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor space and gardens. Very peaceful. Ally and Dan (local support) were very responsive to a blocked toilet and had the problem solved by end of the day. A welcome basket with essentials was a lovely treat. Overall we had a lovely week and would recommend without hesitation."

Just perfect

"Beechlawn was a perfect match to our needs. We found it to be exactly as described, and a bit more. The house was well appointed and spacious for the seven of us. It has been recently remodelled to bring it up to modern standards. We were surprised by the incredible garden which surrounds the house, with a large assortment of trees, plants and flowering shrubs. It was all that we expected and so much more. We highly recommend this Dream Ireland home away from home for large families of up to seven persons who want to relax and get away from it all."
